CHRISTIAN ABUSAID: PIGMENT ON TEXTILE
“Beauty Lies in the Human Heart”
There is nothing more profound and, yet, elusive than Beauty. In a realm of its own, Beauty is a force of life. And its mystery is the terrain of Art. Science blueprints Life in quantic detail, but is left with only theories. Art beholds the grand design and knows Beauty is the order of the Universe.
Indeed, beauty is undeniably organic. The natural development of species depends on Beauty.
Animals wield beauty to attract and procreate. Flowers set bees abuzz with their beauty and, thus, pollinate. Beauty, in all its mystery and ephemerality, is a fundamental tool for survival. it would be a mistake to reduce Beauty to just the ornamental or seductive. Beauty is elemental. Like water. Like air. We need Beauty to survive.
“Art For A New Consciousness”
I believe everything is woven together in an all-inclusive world image, a “pattern in the heavens”.
People must incorporate sacred proportions in their lives in order to live happily and in harmony. When we as humans live through sacred geometry, we connect in the language of love and light.
The only world order in which human nature can happily exist is the sacred order, the cosmological expression of ideal harmony and proportion which constituted the esoteric base behind every ancient lasting civilization.
When you focus your eyes on nature, the patterns of the universe reveal themselves to you. Consciousness perceives YOU perceiving IT.
CHRISTIAN ABUSAID: ARTIST BIO
Christian Abusaid born in 1980 in Bogota Colombia, currently based in Mexico City is a
transformative artist whose dogma revolves around art as a new consciousness. His
transformative technique creates a tactile experience through the use of textile
pigments and voluminous textures. The predominant blue used throughout his pieces
has the intention to highlight that we are from the blue marble we call earth.
Abusaid pursues the greatest art enigma ; beauty. His pieces move us through a diverse
colour gradient asking us where does beauty truly come from and does it exist by itself?
Abusaid´s pieces ultimately lead us into different degrees of understanding through the
preservation of ancestral knowledge and pre Hispanic symbolism. His work not only
extends to the art world but also works to maintain and promote cultural and natural
heritage. His work reflects that human desire and the question for meaning is infinite.
